Sports Specific Training Sessions

These sessions use cutting-edge training based on the latest sports science to address the specific fitness needs of your team, group of athletes or each individual athlete. Sessions can be tailored to focus upon one or a combination of the following:

  • Speed and Acceleration – involves coaching correct sprint mechanics to develop the most efficient running action and condition the neuromuscular system to improve the firing patterns of fast twitch muscle fibres, which combine to produce faster athletes.
  • Agility – balance, co-ordination and the correct mechanics to brake and change direction quickly are emphasised to make athletes more agile.
  • Strength – correct and safe techniques for strength exercises specific to the requirements of your sport are trained. For safety seasons the numbers of athletes participating in strength sessions are limited. Please contact for further details.
  • Power – can comprise of either weights based exercises or plyometric (leaping and bounding) exercises. These make athletes more explosive and combine to improve speed.
  • Conditioning (Endurance) - the energy systems used in your sport are identified and used to develop an energy system programme according to the needs of your position and sport.
  • Injury Prevention – prehabilitation exercises to decrease injury potential.
