Eifion Roberts
MSc (Dist), BSc (Hons), CSCS.

Eifion Roberts is the Head Trainer and Director of Smarter Fitness.

Eifion gained a Masters degree with distinction and a 1st Class Honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC), renowned as one of the best sports universities in Britain.

Since university Eifion has gained more specific industry qualifications, most significantly the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Credential from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (USA), the largest and most prestigious organization in the world for strength and conditioning coaches. He is also a member of the UK Strength and Conditioning Association and is on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) as a Level 3 Advanced Instructor.

Following university Eifion spent 2 years living in New Zealand, it was during this period he first started working as a personal trainer. He quickly built a good reputation with clients including Rugby players who represented the Chiefs in the Super 14 competition, New Zealand 7s representatives and a current All Black. Eifion also trained athletes from a wide range of other sports such as New Zealand champion Volleyball players, representative Netball players, Footballers and Surfers. He was able to successfully adapt many of his techniques used with sports performers to people from all walks of life to improve health and well being.

Currently, in addition to his role as director of Smarter Fitness Eifion serves as a strength and conditioning coach for the Welsh Rugby Union, responsible for the ScarletsRegion Junior Academy. He is the Conditioning Coach for Whitland RFC and is a fitness consultant for the Pembrokeshire District Junior Rugby Association and the Pembrokeshire College Rugby Academy..
